Now that Apple is admitting there will be features, like Stage Manager, that are only available to Apple Silicon iPads, we were wondering if there is a way to create a Smart Group that identifies iPads with the ARM64 architecture. Architecture doesn't appear to be included in the inventory information collected by Jamf Pro.

@jefff All recent iPads, and iPhones, have used the ARM64 architecture. You'd need to check specifically for the M-series processor but I don't believe a processor identifier is available for iPadOS/iOS devices. You could use the model identifier and create a smart group to match on any with the M1 processor.

Thanks @sdagley. Our workaround would be to resort to a model-specific Smart Group, if there is no inventory identifier that we can target dynamically. If anyone knows of an existing feature request for a processor identifier inventory item for devices, we would be glad to add our votes to it.
