Hello,
Sorry, not really Casper related...
Running Leopard 10.5.8 bound to AD. I have seen issues where AD users are recieving messages when they try to copy a file to a windows smb share stating that they may need to be an administrator to copy the file. Going into the console log I always see messages like this:
12/8/09 12:23:22 PM kernel smbfs_composeacl: smbfs_setattr+1 13, ignored
To me it looks like it is trying to write an acl but failing. I verify that there is no ACL on the file, however I never can copy the file up to the server.
If I log into a local account and mount a windows share... I can copy files just fine. My first thoughts were smb signing. I played with disabling and enabling it on the client with no different results. I'm having the windows server group take a look to see if it is enabled on their servers or not.
Anyone come across this before? I'm going to try binding a machine using likewise to see if there is any difference.
Thank you,
Ken
