Greetings Jamf Nation. I have been wanting to post about this for some time and see how everyone else is handling it. There is an Administration Task I do constantly which just, eats up my time and I hate it. How does everyone else handle weeding out duplicate computer records in Jamf, or weeding out old/stale records? I have to go into Jamf, perform a "Search Inventory" then sort by "Last Check-In Date" and just start looking in our Asset Management for Macs that are either pending repair or have been returned. (Our off-boarding is sub-par....has there ever been a wonderful off-boarding process??....I digress...)
Does anyone else weed these records out this way, or is there a better way? I find it difficult to stay on top of old records and they impact our license count. The only way I know of how to do this is like I mentioned....sit down with some music and start hunting and pecking.
Can anyone suggest or describe a more automated manner of weeding out computer records. Maybe there is a presentation I missed from a few JNUC's ago, not sure.
Really appreciate any tips/tricks.
