Unable to delete users from Casper because of app allocations and no 'resend VPP assignment' option

Hi we have a number of school leavers (in the 100's) who we need to remove from our system, when i press delete on their account it says it cant because of assigned apps, normally i would press resend VPP registration wait a minute or two then delete them fine, but these users dont have the 'resend VPP assignment' button. ????

Also if an app has been ticked to remove when mdm profile is removed why are the apps still staying assigned? when i have removed the users from the mdm profiles and out active directory?

I saw this when I came to delete all leavers. Most of them got deleted but we still have a fair few which can't be deleted.

There is this feature request I just came across:

We had a similar issue with being unable to delete users with ghost peripherals assigned to them. Support ended up having me manually remove them from the database using mysql.
