Hi,

did anyone else faced issue where Mac's are unable to see this update?

Apple macOS Big Sur 11.2, Security Update 2021-001 Catalina, Security Update 2021-001 Mojave (HT212147)

Out security tool is saying that there are 700 Macs that need this update and i check on few of them and they cannot see it on update list and in installations list.

Not sure what might cause such problem...

Are you using a software update server? Is that one missing these updates?

No, all updates are from Apple servers

Do you have a profile with the 90 day delay?

A firewall blocking Apple servers? There is a nice list of needed Apple servers on https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210060.

No delay, and firewall not blocked. The other updates are showing correctly. Just this one

@Benek107 So you're asking specifically about the Catalina Security Update, not Big Sur or the Mojave Security Update correct? What build of macOS 10.15.7 is on the machine? If it's 19H524 it is up to date.

@Benek107 If that's the stats on your test Mac then it has the latest available production build of macOS 10.15.7. If your "security tool" is reporting it needs a macOS update that's a false positive.

There were 2 different releases of Security Update 2021-001 (Catalina). The first updated the build of macOS to 19H512. Then there was a Supplemental Update released which addressed a vulnerability in sudo if you had already installed the initial release of Security Update 2021-001 (Catalina). That updated the macOS build to 19H524. Apple also re-released Security Update 2021-001 (Catalina) without changing the name to incorporate the changes from the Supplemental Update, and it also brings a macOS Catalina system to build 19H524.
