After using Casper Imaging and the target machine reboots, it uploads it's inventory however the machine is failing to update who it's managed by. In the system log I'm seeing "Checking for Computer Level Managed Preferences from server....There is a problem with your syntax. Error: This computer is not managed by the JSS. Once I manually run the Recon app on the machine it will then add the management to this machine. Any idea why the imaging process is not adding management to these machines? Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks

Do you have management configured in the configuration?

See attached screen.

When you create your work flow for imaging, you should check a little box that says, "ensure this client is managed." Then it will ask for an account you wish to manage it with, make sure it is the same credentials you use for your JSS.

you're describing sounds like it's for managed preferences (MCX).

Are you selecting a configuration in Casper Imaging? Does that configuration
have the correct Casper account for managing the machine?

Look in the JSS under Management --> Casper Admin --> your configuration -->
Management.

And you've verified your configuration has a management account?

Yes. This is a brand new install. Yesterday was the 2nd day of having it up. The other machines that are in the system that were added via the network scan in recon are working as expected. It's only when I image a machine with admin and imager. They report the initial inventory but they are unmanaged and can only be managed by running the recon app.
