In my testing process I’m imaging an iMac with a simple OS only AutoDMG file (including updates: Camera RAW, iTunes, ARD Client, Safari). When I log in a directory gets created: /username/Users/*/Library/Preferences. This happens for every local user. Anyone see this?
@kevin5495 That's not common, do you have any policies or something else running? Can you give more information as to OS etc.
Is the user created by a profile or the JSS? If so, what's the exact path you're specifying for it to use?
I disabled any policies that created user accounts though I've used them before with no problem. There's a policy for the dock, printers, bootcache, disable iCloud, and to set the time zone.
Using 10.10.3 build 14D136. There is one admin account created by Casper Admin in Configuration Management. The AutoDMG file is the only thing in the config.
I see this now happening on other computers that haven't been imaged. It must have been caused by a recent policy, profile, or preference change and not by imaging at all. Shouldn't be too hard to track down.
