Using OAuth for login

Hi all,

We are a Google Apps house with users in multiple locations. As I have everybody already in Google Apps and I don't really have any need for LDAP except for authentication, I thought I would see if it had and LDAP functionality. Unfortuanlty it doesn't, it users OpenID Connect (OAuth 2.0).
Has anybody experimented with this as an authentication protocol for Casper? Am I just dragging a while heap of pain upon myself??
Thoughts appreciated!

    Not so sure this shouldn't be a feature request. This would totally negate the need to have an LDAP directory structure for students now that our filtering service (Lightspeed) allows us to use GAFE as our authentication source.
