Just wondering if anyone can help with this.
I'm trying to setup photoshop and illustrator to use a separate physical hdd for scratch disk space.
I created a launch daemon and script
vsdbutil -d /Volumes/RLSCRATCH
This ignores ownership and permissions for the volume which is a requirement for it to work.
Problem is that it works initially, then goes wrong when a user tries to paste a vector from illustrator to photoshop, or if permissions are repaired
From what I can gather, the finder screws up the volume database info. All is ok again if the user reboots.
Looking at the man page I can see it says its depreciated and to use fstab.
Does anyone know how to ignore ownership and permissions on a volume label not UUID using fstab?
