+23We've been having problems where users are starting up BootCamp
Assistant on their own and somehow managing to screw up their Mac
partition - what's the easiest way to restrict that app down / remove
it?
payloadless pkg file (not exactly sure how to make one of those)?
Script? Anybody have one handy?
I looked at MCX settings which has the ability to restrict folders - I
really only care about Bootcamp, in fact I think restriction all the
utilities folder would be too much of a hassle.
Use the restricted software feature under management in the JSS web interface. Click on Add Restricted software, give it a display name, and put “Boot Camp Assistant.app” under Process to look for. I have it set to Kill the process. Been using it for a while now for this very app.

+23Tried this - worked perfectly! Tried it both on and off the LAN (that
was a concern - what's to stop a user from going home and trying it - if
it wasn't on the LAN, would it still be restricted??) and was happy to
see it was still restricted!
