Welcome to another edition of Things to Do for JNUC — 2027 Edition! This time we are heading to sunny Southern California at the Anaheim Convention Center. JNUC 2027 is extra special as Jamf will be celebrating their 25th anniversary!
Whether you're traveling from across the country or flying in internationally (I'm coming from Canada!), here’s a curated guide to help you plan your SoCal trip.

JNUC Highlights
- JNUC Party: The official conference party traditionally takes place on the 2nd night of JNUC (which typically makes it Wednesday evening). It’s always a major highlight. Expect great music, delicious food, and unmatched networking. Don’t miss it!
- Vendor Parties: Keep an eye out for evening side events with free drinks, appetizers, and fantastic giveaways. Please post below if you become aware of any vendor parties with open invites (like Rocketman Tech or others) so we can keep a running list for everyone!
- Jamf Heroes Meetup: Details for 2027 will be announced closer to the event, but keep an eye on Jamf Nation for updates.

Sports
Southern California is packed with major sports teams. While exact schedules for autumn 2027 won't be available until early/mid-2027, here is what to look out for:
- Los Angeles Angels (MLB): Angel Stadium is right in Anaheim—just ~2.5 miles from the Anaheim Convention Center! If the MLB regular season or postseason is underway during conference week, catching a game is super convenient. Schedule typically released around August/September of the prior year. - Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB): Dodger Stadium is about 30 miles north in Los Angeles if you want to catch late-season baseball or early postseason action. (MLB.com/Dodgers)
- Anaheim Ducks (NHL): Honda Center is located ~3 miles from the convention center. The NHL regular season usually kicks off in early October. Schedule typically released in late June or early July 2027. (NHL.com/Ducks)
- Los Angeles Rams & Chargers (NFL): SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is about 30 miles northwest of Anaheim. Depending on home/away schedules, Sunday or primetime games are reachable via ride-share or rental car. NFL schedule is typically released in mid-May 2027. (NFL.com)
- LA Galaxy & LAFC (MLS): MLS regular season and playoff contention run through October. LA Galaxy plays at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson (~20 miles away), while LAFC plays at BMO Stadium in downtown LA (~28 miles away). Schedules typically drop in December or January. (MLSSoccer.com)
Attractions
- Disneyland Resort & Disney California Adventure: Directly across the street from the convention district! Even if you don't do a full park day, visiting Downtown Disney District is free to enter for dining, shopping, and live entertainment. (Disneyland.disney.go.com)
- Anaheim Packing District: Located in downtown Anaheim (~2.5 miles north), this historic 1919 citrus packing house has been converted into an epic two-story food hall with unique food vendors, craft cocktails, and outdoor seating. (AnaheimPackingDistrict.com)
- Knott's Berry Farm: Located in neighboring Buena Park (~7 miles away), California's first theme park is famous for roller coasters, boysenberry treats, and seasonal fall events (Knott's Scary Farm in October). (Knotts.com)
- Bowers Museum: Located in nearby Santa Ana (~5 miles away), world-class art and cultural exhibitions featuring artifacts from around the globe. (Bowers.org)
- Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center: Located in downtown Anaheim, featuring local history, art, and rotating cultural exhibits. (Muzeo.org)
- Orange County Beaches: Huntington Beach ("Surf City USA"), Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach are all within a 20–30 minute drive or ride-share south/west of Anaheim.
- Angel Stadium & Honda Center Tours: Both major venues offer venue tours on non-game days.
Weather
Autumn in Anaheim typically delivers sunny and mild SoCal weather:
- Temperatures: Highs are generally around 75°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C) with nighttime lows dropping to 55°F to 62°F (13°C to 17°C).
- Packing Tips: Layering is key! T-shirts and light wear are ideal for daytime, but keep a jacket or hoodie handy for cooler evenings. Rain is relatively rare in early autumn, but bringing a light outer layer is always recommended. Santa Ana winds can occasionally bring brief warm spells.

- Getting Around:
- Walking: The Anaheim Convention Center is surrounded by numerous hotels, restaurants, and Downtown Disney within comfortable walking distance.
- ARTIC (Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center): The main regional transit hub connecting Amtrak (Pacific Surfliner) and Metrolink trains for trips into Los Angeles, San Diego, or surrounding coastal cities, as well as local OCTA bus routes.
