How do I add custom fonts to Google Docs?

Upload the custom font to your Google Drive by opening Google Drive, clicking the “New” button, and selecting “File Upload.” Choose the font file from your computer to upload it to Google Drive. Once the font is uploaded, right-click on the font file, select “Open with,” and then choose “Google Docs.”

it says no preview available

Google docs is not an option.  Not even when searched for.

Adding custom fonts to Google Docs is not possible. They use web-based fonts since it's a cloud app.
