Hi all
I am having an issue deploying the latest OS update.
I downloaded the .dmg from apple and packaged it using composer, when I try to install it via self service policy its like it doesn't actually apply the update and the option pops back up in self service and I am still running 10.10.2, I have a reboot script which is running after the update could that be causing an issue? I have even tried deploying the package inside the .dmg and the dmg directly to no avail. any ideas? tips?

I have deployed the combo update to half a dozen machines successfully so far. Instead of using Composer to package it, just drag the .pkg that is inside the dmg into casper admin and deploy the .pkg with a reboot at the end.

Hi Mike,

How long did the update process take? Did you run jamf policy in terminal or just using self service?

It took about 20 minutes, on a Mid 2012 iMac non fusion drive, and I just triggered it via jamf policy in terminal.

I have also just tested via self service and it worked as well.

Any ideas the difference between the 10.10.3 update and the 10.10.3 Combo update?

@bwiessne 10.10.3 Update is for machines running 10.10.2. The combo is for machines running 10.10.0 or higher (up to and including 10.10.3).
