We're seeing an issue as of 10.14.4, after using a FileVault recovery key. The normal behavior is to present a change password box that allows the user to set a new password. What we're seeing on 10.14.4 is that the box will shake and no new password will be accepted. The only way to reset the password is through the recovery partition.
