10.9.4 wifi question - sort of off topic

I just noticed it appears as if a laptop isn't connected to a wifi network, after some time (or sleep) the wifi is actually being powered off.

I've never noticed this behavior before, I don't know if it's 10.9 (or even 10.9.4 specific).

Anyone have any info on this? Google has failed me thus far.

@CasperSally It was a known issue with 10.9... and is fixed with the release of 10.9.4. have you updated?

It's kind of amazing how many wifi issues there have been with Mavericks. Every update has fixed some and introduced others. You'd think after being out almost a year they'd have things like 'issues connecting to known networks' worked out..

Doesn't really answer your question regarding 10.9.4 other than to say this is how it's been since mavericks came out.
