Hi,

We've recently had a spate of batteries swell and break their casing on 17 inch MacBook Pros so I'm trying to make an advanced inventory search that will return all of our 17" MacBook Pros but I'm not having much luck. If I create a search with " Is like - 17" for the Model criteria then I only get some of our 17 inch models returned. None of our MacBook Pro (Early 2008), MacBook Pro (Early 2009), or MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) get listed in the inventory search. Any suggestions from out there in Casper land?

    Could you also use some sort of screen res extension attribute?

    New-world name (MacBookPro6,1, for example) would be the best; screen res might be wrong if someone has bought the high-res 15" screen.

    I would use a tool like MacTracker to get all of the new-world names of the 17" and use them in the criteria of a smart group.
    It shows them as MacBookPro4,1, MacBookPro5,2 and MacBookPro6,1.

    Use with caution! Within MacTracker, you'll notice that some of the earlier
    15 and 17 inch models use the same Model Identifier. For example, both
    Mid/Late 2007 models are listed as MacBookPro3,1.

    I was thinking new-world name in conjunction with screen res to help narrow it down.
