8.4 upgrade - MCX user level settings?

We upgraded a test environment to 8.4 and most (all?) of our user level MCX settings appear not to be working. We have had issues with upgrades in past and user level settings stopping the mount of our AD home directories so I wonder if this is related (home dir mounting is working).

Anyone else using MCX with 8.4 that can confirm if it's working for them? For example, our preference panes aren't greyed out.

I have an email into support.

I'm in the process of starting my testing with Lion and Casper 8.4 but haven't yet gotten far enough to test MCX. Be sure to look, though, at the new configuration profiles section of the JSS under the Management tab. I'm planning to use this to replace several MCX settings.

I'm afraid i'm seeing the same thing. I just applied several mcx settings to a group of computers and i'm not seeing anything change.. and nothing in the logs either.

Woah yeah that's going to be a problem if it's a defect.

they appear to be working for me- I used the Time Machine menu extra and the VPN menu extra as tests. I set Time Machine to be removed as a 'User Level Enforced' preference, and the VPN menu extra to be added as a 'User level enforced at every login' preference. Both settings were applied correctly.

I think our issue was actually network related - seems ok now.
