I notice the same thing. I didn't remove and add the app as the kb suggests as I wanted to test how the mobile app works and functions first. I left the web clip enabled and sent the app to a test device which it constantly removes and adds itself back.

I found that it wouldn't remove itself when outside the internal network. when I came back to work it dropped off again.

I am hopping to push out the app but keep the self-service webclip, because we want to ensure authentication remains as the same user at all times and is not changed by the user.

A suggestion from support was to remove self-service altogether and push it both out via a profile.... I am not game to do that in a production environment, but when I get a test server setup I'm going to give it a shot.

I saw this same thing when I followed those instructions to manually push the app out. I think because I still had Self Service management settings set to do the Web Clip that the JSS was removing it as soon as it would install it. When I changed my Self Service management setting to Self Service mobile app it appeared to download once and then stay.

You will see this behavior if you have the Self Service web clip set to install automatically in the JSS and deploy the Self Service app manually.
