Nevermind, I figured it out on my own.

A user has requested a certain website they use be added to their iPad home screens for easy access. I have never done this before and am sure it's something simple but how can I push this out with jamf? I have been searching but all I am seeing is adding bookmarks to Safari.

dmitchell,

That is done by deploying a configuration profile with the "Web Clips" section configured. If you are using application restrictions, make sure "com.apple.webapp" is on the allowed list.

Thanks this helped me out big time. I'm use application restriction to control which apps are visible, and a home screen layout to configure placement. Before adding the "com.apple.webapp" bundle id I was unable to get the WebClips to work. (yes, I know this is old) I'm posting for others who may be in the same situation.

Would you advise creating a completely new Config Profile to deploy a web clip?

Or could I add a web clip to a Config Profile that we have already created & deployed?

Advantages/Disadvantages?

Thank you.

I don't see com.apple.webapp in the list for allowed apps.  The is one for Safari......
