Hi-

Has anyone had success in deploying Adobe CS4 updates with Casper 6? My prior gymnastics rebuilding the setup.xml file didn't work. I'd hate to resort to diffing it.

Hi Jared,

Are these the gymnastics you're referring to? http://www.jamfsoftware.com/kb/article.php?id=196

Or others? I haven't personally tried doing CS4 this way, but I've heard success stories with it. I luckily have the choice and the CS4 disks are sitting in my drawer until Casper 7 is out...

Thanks,
John

Yeah, those and my previous detailed instructions that I posted to the list don't seem to work for the updates I've tried (Photoshop related ones).

7 won't be too far along, so I may just sit on it.

I, like John, am just waiting for native distribution through Casper Suite 7. I have made a large traditional package of updated components that lays over the top of the base CS4 install in the mean time. Wouldn't be a big deal if I could trigger a command line updater for Adobe patches like you can trigger Apple updates. I think I've mentioned that before...

Like others, I tried, failed and have decided to wait for 7.
