Subject says it all... if I wanted to get input from the user via a dialog box while the computer is at the login window, is there any way to do so?

Pretty sure JamfHelper will overlay the login Window.

/Library/Application Support/JAMF/bin/jamfHelper.app/Contents/MacOS/jamfHelper -help

Oh sorry missed the part about user feedback, I think it does buttons but no text field, so depending on what your after it may or may not work.

Yeah, I was looking for a dialog box with a text input field.

That said, any tricks to getting jamfhelper to work at the login window? I tried a little bit and was unsuccessful. I think I was trying full screen... will the other presentation methods work? Is there something special I'd need to do to get jamfhelper to work at the login window?

Hmmm might have been wrong, I can't get it to come up on the login screen either.
Certainly sending it as a command directly from Casper Remote doesn't work.
