APN certificate as .p12 file?

Hi all,

I hope you can help. I'm going through the white paper "Generating an
Apple Push Notification Certificate" in order to set up the mobile device
management portion of my server, and I think I'm missing something. I
can't seem to get the certificate to associate with the private key. I've
successfully downloaded the APN from apple, but as soon as I go to create
the .p12 file and click on Certificates, the private key is not listed
with the newly formed APN. Is there something missing from the steps or
am I just doing something wrong.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Jeannine

Just asking the obvious...

- Have you pressed the small gray disclosure triangle next to the
certificate? This should show you the private key. See the attached
screenshot from my Keychain Access.

- If you right-click on your certificate's name, you should be able to
export it out as a .p12 file and then upload that file to your JSS.

Also, I followed the step-by-step and it seems to be working fine for
enrolling my iOS devices. I haven't purchased any VPP codes yet, so
I'm not sure if my installation of apps is working yet, but that's my
next step.

I'm also seeing the download from Apple's identity pushcert site without the private key.

Anyone?

Hey there... what was the resolution here? Having the same issue with the cert we're downloading from Apple.

Im stumped... Ive been trying to figure this out.

The file is downloaded down as a .pem file, and I cant seem to get it to export to a .p12. It doesnt have the disclosure arrow(pictured above).

Ive been trying multiple things and trying to search the forums but Im coming up short. Im guessing its probably something little Im missing. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
