Apple Developer Account - Is it Necessary?

Hi everyone,

Our Apple Developer Account is up for renewal - other than for Beta OS installers, previous OS installers and signing in-house packages, what is this necessary for?

The items you listed are all that we use it for. Nothing else.

@ooshnoo thanks! Our Windows admin thought there was something else, but I couldn't tell if there was from my research...

If you were wanting to make special PPPC configuration profiles you will need the developer certificate to sign them.

As you are an Education Institution you should be able to sign up for a free Team Membership. This would allow you to have unlimited people (including students).
