Hello! We are K-12 and allow our senior class to purchase their MacBook Air at the end of the year. We are attempting to allow this process with zero touch from our tech staff.

Has anyone already mastered removing firmware, ASM, DEP, wipe and restore back to factory settings work flow?

If I could put a tool in Self Service for kiddos to run on their time, that would be the preferred method. Maybe with a deadline to run by graduation or it forces on them.

Thanks!

I think this would get you most of the way there: Reinstall a clean macOS with one button

You'd need to add the bit to remove the EFI password and be sure to release the devices in Apple School Manager before they are wiped.
