We recently rolled out Azure MFA to our environment and I'm starting to get "push back" requesting that the number of times that a user has to authenticate be lessened somehow. I know there is an extension for Windows that does this but I have yet to see anything MacOS related that will accomplish this goal. I'd appreciate if any of you folks could point me in the right direction.

Do you have configured Intune integration with Jamf for conditional access ? If yes than by using conditional access we can avoid unnecessary MFA prompt on Mac device which are compliant with conditional access.
