Hello All, to improve my backend server management skills, while there was no need to do so, I separated the webapp and MySQL.

I used to use the JSS database utility, but as it is being discontinued I decided to not use it anymore once the separation tool place.

I am have been trying to use the Jamf Server Tool to schedule backups of my database, but every time I select the days, number of files to retain, and time to backup and the program is exited those settings are wiped.

Is there any other way of doing this?

what os are you running your servers on & what server are you running the backups on, directly on the sql server or are you backing up from another location like the webapp server for example.

have you explored these options? - https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/articles/175/backing-up-the-database-from-the-command-line-using-the-jamf-pro-database-utility
