Hello everybody,
I've been asked whether is possible to replicate the functionality of BitLocker To Go on Mac.
Does anybody has already dealt with this request?
Thanks to all.
Regards,
Jacopo
Hi @Jachk
If I am reading it right, Bitlocker to Go lets you encrypt external and removable drives.
You can do this natively in OS X if you right-click on the drive and select "Encrypt"
Hi @davidacland ,
yes, you're right.
At the moment, when I insert a USB stick on Win, BitLocker ToGo forces me to encrypt the USB stick if I want to write on it. Otherwise it lets me only read.
On Mac I know I can right click on the USB drive and then encrypt it. It doesn't prompt me anything.
I'd like to implement a similar solution also on Mac platform. Maybe I can manage it using a script and cocoadialog...
To enforce that behaviour you can use something like Endpoint Protector.
Thanks for the advice,
I'll definitely give it a try.
Has anyone used
M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac
https://www.m3datarecovery.com/mac-bitlocker/
Or
Hasleo BitLocker Anywhere For Mac
https://www.easyuefi.com/bitlocker-for-mac/bitlocker-for-mac.html
We use M3 Bitlocker Loader. It can be a bit finicky, especially on Catalina, but it works for the most part
