Hi,

I'm wondering if the build number would be the same when applied security update lets say 2018--004 to MacOS version 10.13.4 & 10.13.6?

Thanks

If you moved from 10.13.4 -> 10.13.6 you'd have a different build.

Security updates most of the time do include a new build number.

Hey,

No. I mean if you do following:
10.13.4 -- Build Number > 17E199
10.13.6 -- Build Number > 17G65
Security Update 2018--002 -- Build Number 17G3025

After installing Security Update 2018--002 onto 10.13.4 & 10.13.6:
10.13.4 -- Build Number > ???
10.13.6 -- Build Number > ???

Or 10.13.4 needs to upgrade to 10.13.6 before installing that security update?

Apple will force you to update to 10.13.6 as well as thats what build their security patch was built on.
