Question

Can't connect to JSS when netbooting (SSL installed)

Forum|alt.badge.img+8

Hi All

I recently installed SSL certificates on my JSS, I noticed that when I try to netboot and connect to Casper Imaging that it take a really long time to authenticate then connect.

Has anyone had this issue before? for the moment I've taken amended my server.xml file so it does not reference the keystore (hence no SSL) and all is working fine again

Thanks

Abz

Hi

No its signed by Comodo, the weird thing is that if I open casper imaging on a machine that has not been netbooted it works fine

Its only when it is nebooted that I get this issue

Hi

Did you find a solution? I am having a similar issue using an external CA when netbooted.

Thanks.

Our solution was to make sure we had our manual proxy settings enabled in our netboot image. Even though the JSS was local it still needed the proxy setting. This required the use of a script as each time we netbooted the captured proxy settings were removed.
