Child domain authentication

Not sure if any of you guys have seen this before.. but...

Our master jss is located in the parent domain: weu.mycompany.global

We have replicated distribution point in the child domain: child.weu.mycompany.global

We are using the casperadmin & casperinstall accounts that are on the parent domain.

The replicated server has both child & parent domains in it's authentication & contact polices & is bound to the parent domain.

The parent domains casperadmin & casperinstall accounts has read/write & read only access to the replicated distribution point.
(this can be verified by connecting to the server as either account & mounting the replicated distribution point).

BUT, the JSS will not sync either when scheduled or through Casper Admin as it advises it cannot mount the server, same error when trying to to mount via casper remote or policy to any mac on the child domain.

Mounting the server with the parent domains casperadmin account, then attempting replication through Casper Admin works.

Hmm... overriding the distribution point so a policy or casper remote policy uses a server in the parent domain works...

Weird.

This is a case of simply overthinking without checking the basics!

The share had been misspelt.

Instead of CasperShare-G2UK it was Caspershare-G2UK.

Works now :)
