Configuration Profile Issues

I have several issues with configuration profiles.

  • Computer Level: Security and Privacy -> "Require password after sleep or screen saver begins" does not work, even as user level profile
  • Computer Level: Restrictions -> Restricting system preferences does not work, even as user level profile. The only one greyed out is "Mail, Contacts, Calendar", but all others are active whether they are disabled or not.

Anyone else seeing the same problem with 10.8.5 and 9.21?

    add with 10.9 and 9.21 the enable app store updates only doesn't work. but they apparently are aware of that.

    I was trying to get this to work two months ago with Profile Manager (Server 2) and 10.8.4 clients - had to implement with WGM. :(

    Michael,

    It's an issue/bug with X.8. I had a bug filed with Apple and they said the issue is resolved in X.9.

    I haven't tested in X.9 in the past few months, but I "remember" it working in X.9 betas

    There are many configuration profile issues I have seen since Casper 9 but I am just assuming they are already aware and working on fixes. I thought they would be fixed in 9.21 but not yet.
