Cortex XDR for mac: How does an end user manually scan a file?

on windows i can right click on a file or folder and choose "scan with cortex".

i may just be an idiot...

but how to you start a manual scan from a mac?

I having been looking at this myself. I also can't find any way of doing it. Even looked on the Palo Alto site and all it says is how to run a scan from the backend console.

The answer is the option does not exit on the client. You can only force a scan from the Cortex console, which means only IT staff with access to that can force the scan, the user can't do a scan. I had a colleague in our security team, who would get the allerts in the console and we would then contact the user so we could deal with it. No idea why it's like this, given he Windows version does allow scans.
