When trying to setup a clustered DMZ server as a computer only JSS I get the
below error:

Could not write to /Library/JSS/Tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/web.xml

Any ideas?

Both servers are 10.7.3.

Thanks Matt.

Found a bizarre solution.

I couldn't enable change management as the server did not have write permission to /var/logs/, so I change the log location & enabled change management. The could enable the JSS as computer management only.

Very odd. JAMF support are looking at it AFAIK too.

Server: 10.7.3
JSS: 8.5

Thanks Matt.

Tried that but no luck.. the web.xml file has the same permissions as on my master too:

MAC-DMZ-01
-rw-r--r--@ 1 _appserver _appserveradm 9574 Mar 22 11:12 /Library/JSS/Tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/web.xml

MAC-JSS-01
-rw-r--r--@ 1 _appserver _appserveradm 9574 Mar 22 11:12 /Library/JSS/Tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/web.xml

Have you tried 755? I can't remember what I did but I do remember getting mad and just permissioning it to 777 to at least get the file to write. JAMF then sent me an email saying it needed to be 644 with _appserver _appserveradm need access.
