This isn't exactly a JSS issue, but I figure this is about the best best to get a decent answer. We are using a learning suite for the district through Scholastic, and recently, that suite has stopped working in Chrome. We figured out that it has something to do with the way Chrome handles Flash. Anyways, we have been using a hyperlink in the dock to go to the page hosted on our loca server, but it opens it in the default browser, which is Chrome on most of the student computers.
The question is, is there a way to create a link (without having to create a script) to have the link open in Safari instead of the default browser? I know how to do this on windows by creating a shortcut that goes something like: "C:/program files/safari/safari.exe" http://www.site.com
Is there anything similar that I can do in OS X or am I just going to need to script it and pass it down to all of the students?
