Crowdstrike External Kernel M1

Hello,

My company just recently switched over to Jamf and we have a mix of Intel Macs and M1 Macs.  We are having an issue with the Externel Kernel for Crowdstrike installing on our M1 machines.  They install perfectly fine on our Intel Macs just not on the M1s.  Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

Kernel extensions won’t work on M1 devices, make sure you deploy the system extensions. And don’t deploy the kernel extensions to those devices!

@levi_stone Unless your security org has a hard requirement that you enable the BIOS verification feature in CrowdStrike Falcon you do not need to install the Kernel Extension on Intel based Macs. I'd suggest checking with them and removing the kext if they're not requiring that option.

@levi_stone Crowdstrike has a premade config profile for both intel and Apple Silicon machines.  Just be sure when you upload it to your JSS that you sign it first or it wont work.
