Disabling preferences tab(s) for HipChat

Hello friends,

I have been trying to package HipChat (ver 3.2.1). After assigning the internal hipchat server address, I want the 'Connection' tab to be disabled..and may be 'Subscription' tab as well. Any help on how to disable the tabs under Preferences wouyld be very much appreciated.

Just noticed this. Have you tried using defaults?

Sorry, I did not understand that. Please elaborate.
