From AP:
cisco C9120AXI-B ARMv8 Processor rev 0 (v8l) with 1875204/1065904K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FJC26381AZT
AP Running Image : 17.6.4.56
Primary Boot Image : 17.6.4.56
Backup Boot Image : 0.0.0.0
Primary Boot Image Hash:
Backup Boot Image Hash:
1 Multigigabit Ethernet interfaces
Controller:
Cisco Catalyst 9800-40 Wireless Controller
17.3.4c
My thoughts were that the controller was supposed to downgrade or upgrade an AP if the versions did not match to match the controller. Is that not how this works? Or do I need to update the controller to match the 60 AP's we just bought?

This question really isn't Jamf Pro related. Try asking in a Cisco support forum.

If you're receiving a "Discovery response from 'Hostname' running version 17.3.4. is rejected" error, it likely indicates a compatibility or configuration issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Version Compatibility: Ensure that the software or tool you're using to discover the hostname is compatible with version 17.3.4.
2. Update Software: If there's an update available for either the discovering tool or the host software, install it to ensure compatibility.
3. Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings on both the discovering tool and the host to ensure they are correctly set up for communication.
4. Network Issues: Verify that there are no network issues preventing proper communication between the discovering tool and the host.
5. Logs and Documentation: Review any error logs or documentation related to the discovering tool and the host for more specific information on why the response is being rejected.
6. Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the support team for the software or tool you're using for further assistance.
