Dockutil Getting Started

Does anyone have any recommended steps or a quick overview of how to get dockutil up and running? I see some examples out there, but am not quite sure where to start building the package or writing a script. It seems to be the best way to manage dock items, but we're also open to other suggestions.

When I first setup dockutil I copied the dockutil script from here https://github.com/kcrawford/dockutil?files=1 to /use/local/bin then created a Composer PKG from it. There is a build script on that link as well that will make the pkg. Then I just found some example scripts from jamf nation and adjusted for my preferences. I can add the latest script I’m using currently when I get to the office tomorrow.
