domain name

The server that my casper database is on is going to be wiped and reinstalled. I plan on changing the hostname of the server to another name. Other than backing up my database, what else should I do??

1. Re-issue certificates with the new server name if you're using them.
2. Issue DNS alias records from the old server to the new one.
3. If both 1 and 2, add the old server name to the new certificate issued so that your DNS alias doesn't look odd to a client machine.
4. Backup, backup, backup.

The JSS database shouldn't care too much about the name change. Just make sure you change things like your server name in the distribution point settings, for instance.
