How do you leverage Installomator if the app you want to patch is not in Jamf's catalog?

For the apps that are in Jamf's catalog, you can use less than "Current version" as a way to add users to a smart group, but what about the apps that aren't in the catalog? Is the best method just to run the policy once per week? Or is there something I'm missing here?

Use this script by talkingmoose to create Smart Groups that use regex to not match a version number or greater than that version number.

So I would need to be on the look out for when a new version came out and update it each time?
