Install Salesforce1 mobile app with no iTunes Apple ID

I believe this has something to do with VPP / Device Assignment.

Just want the app (as well as others) to be installed at the time the iPhone is enrolled / CP applied.

thx, John

using VPP, the end user will not need to enter in an Apple ID to install or update.

Salesforce1 is a free app, and I have it checked, under VPP “Device Assignments” is visible, when click “Edit”, can briefly see the page change, but nothing changes on the page.

thx, j

@johnklimeck I still "buy" the free apps on the Apple VPP portal page and then get added to my JSS. Then I can assign them. Have you purchased some licenses from the VPP portal already?

beat me too it @mpermann

you will need to purchase them through the VPP portal

I have not done that, assuming I do that, it should work?

that will give you the application in your JSS. you then need to set a policy to install it

@johnklimeck yeah, once you've "purchased" the free app in the VPP portal it will be available for assignment.
