Question

Installing apps when Jamf infrastructure is unavailable.

I have an app that some users need to install when off our network. What is the best way to make an app installable when the jamf infrastructure can't be reached? For the sake of argument let's assume that they are on the network sometimes, so they can get policies, settings, etc.

You could cache the installers. Best practice would be to setup a cloud distribution point.

You can cache the installer but you will still need a way to invoke it outside your dmz; if they have access to the internet then consider using your vpn. One policy to cache the app (space permitting) then another policy to make it available in Self Service if already cached. Then they should be able to trigger the install for the app from Self Service over vpn.
