We have a teacher and students that need to specifically use older versions of xcode, in this case being 10.1. For the latest version of xcode we have a policy that works well with VPP, but to use 10.1 I have downloaded the .xip file and command line tools from our developer account and wondering how others might have deployed in this situation?

Apple on the free tier Apple developer accounts allows you to download past versions & betas via dmg files.

Yes I have those installers. Turns out I don't need to deploy in mass, just a couple of people so I handed these off with Air Drop.
