Will the INTEL-SA-00086 vulnerability affect the Mac?

I ran the detection tool on my 2016 - High C laptop, and it said it was vulnerable
Though, Apple doesn't do anything specific to the laptops...so any of the affected CPUs would be just as vulnerable on the Mac.

Did you run the detection tool on a virtual machine or are you running Windows on your Mac? I run OS High Sierra, but there is no detection tool available for Mac. Thanks!
