iOS web filter - Barracuda or Lightspeed?

We're looking for a web filter to filter the student iPads while they're not on our network. We've been using OpenDNS Umbrella for the past 3 months, but we discovered that the students can just turn off the "Connect on Demand" in the VPN settings and then the iPad is no longer filtered, which means Umbrella is basically useless to us. So now we have been looking at either Barracuda or Lightspeed for filtering outside our network. Does anyone have experience with either of these with iOS devices?

We have lightspeed and their Rocket appliance. Its pretty easy to set up the box, just depends on your existing network. Create the config profile pointing the ipads to the proxy server and thats it. Keep in mind you must supervise your ipads in order to use the http global proxy payload. All in all Lightspeed works well for us.

We used barracuda's web filter (cloud/ WSA) for our one to one macbooks last year, that worked well also however at the time they did not have a solution for iOS so we moved everything to lightspeed.
