I am new to Casper but am loving it. Much nicer to use than Profile Manager.
I finally understand the difference between Scope and an Advanced Search. Scope is just for Managed devices, whereas anything that gets unmanaged can still be searched for. Which brings me to my question.
I tried scoping profiles and apps by selecting individual Mobile Devices, or creating static groups where I've Assigned specific Mobile Devices. It works great, unless the device leaves management. This could happen if the user unenrolls or it can happen if I Refresh the Supervised device in Configurator 1.4. The device drops out of Management and leaves the scope and the Assignment. When reenrolled there is no remembrance of it being in that Scope or Assignment.
Does anyone use this feature? Am I missing something?
