Just had a new macbook pro dropped on my desk for enrolment, and our process requires the end user device to be erased before enrolment, they have previously set the device up using their apple ID, which has encrypted the apfs volume, it also appears there is a windows boot camp partition installed.
When attempting to erase the disk using disk utility, it says it is deleting the volume, but doesn't progress from there.
I have wiped many in this setup state before, I am wondering if this is something with 10.13.5 or 10.13.4
This will throw a massive spanner into our works when it comes to BYOD devices for next year if it isn't a one off anomaly.
