Hello !
I'm working on installing a computer and I just found that when I change it's IP address and start a recon, the IP address doesn't update on the computer's inventory in Jamf. I just tried to my own computer too and the same thing happens: the IP address doesn't update in Jamf. It's a problem as I have some policies that run based on that information.
Is there something that I can do or is it a problem with Jamf itself ?
Any help is welcome !

@Spillou Are you using a VPN? The "Reported IP Address" in Jamf Pro corresponds to the Mac's IP address on the local network it's connected to. The "IP Address" is the IP address that your Jamf Pro see the Mac reporting in from. If you're using a VPN that latter address is not going to be the VPN assigned IP address for your Mac, but the IP address where your VPN traffic exits your network.

I have no VPN active. I have the problem on 2 MacBook Pro 14" M1: a new installed one, and mine. They have the application Cisco AnyConnect, but not running. ifconfig shows the correct IP address.
I've freshly installed a new Mac mini that I use for tests purpose only and I've installed Cisco AnyConnect. The IP address updates in it's Jamf inventory as expected.
And yes, I click the "Apply" button before forcing a jamf recon :)

I'm thinking about something: my MBP is connected to the network through my monitor with an USB-C cable. The monitor has a RJ45 connector. The other MBP uses an adaptator like Belkin or Satechi. The Mac mini has his built-in connector. I'll check on monday with an adaptator on the Mac mini and check if the inventory updates or not.
