We're enrolling some new macbooks at my workplace, and one presented a problem I haven't seen before. The end-user has 2 external volumes plugged into the device. The second of these devices had its name changed, from whatever the user had it set to previously, to our convention of "UserID Macbook (Pro)."
The hostname of the computer was set properly and the other external volume had retained the name "Tardis."
Has anyone ever seen this behavior before or know how I might prevent it in the future? We have enrolled over 50 macbooks without seeing this and we're hoping it doesn't happen again.
