Looking into training passes and the cost associated with getting myself fully jamf certified (to at least the admin level) there are very few options other than paying for classes individually or purchasing the individual training pass. Speaking with the success team as well as the training team at their booth at JNUC there was little in the way of options for smaller organizations (like mine) that just don't have the budget to get approvals for the $4500 training pass or paying $5k outright for the 2/300 courses. I'd like to see more options available to smaller fleets like my own so we can still take part in the training and have jamf admin staff that are fully certified. I completely understand that the training itself is worth the cost however in our environment there is no way to get approval for individual training that would equate to the cost of purchasing a MacBook for a new employee. If jamf could offer pricing options for educational or non-profit customers as they do for jamf cloud services to make this more affordable I feel more smaller organizations would allow employees to take the plunge and get certified. Jamf support and Nation are a great resource to use and learn but I feel that as an organization we are missing out of a wealth of info that could help us in our day to day. To add on one last thought on this topic. I am also a 6 year active duty veteran that would love to see jamf work with veterans organizations to facilitate post-service training options to have a better transition to the civilian workforce. Not asking for freebies, just a way for my fellow brother/sisters in arms to leave the service and be the best possible candidate for a position within admin roles that other applicants may have already had the ability to do the certification training that the military did not cover.

Thank you for your post. The first thing I would like to bring up is that on Tuesday during the JNUC we announced the availability of an online training portal that is freely available to our subscription licensing customers. We hope this will help more members of the community access product training when and where they need it.
Additionally I see that you've already found and obtained your Jamf Certified Associate certification. Congratulations! The Jamf 100 released online last April provides a means to obtain free training for all customers wherever they may be. With the Associate exam launching last month to join that we hope to be able to provide some training for all our customers.
As for your question regarding working with veterans, Jamf has supported veterans since our inception. We have been actively engaging the VA in communication through 2018 to find the appropriate way to handle this. As I'm sure you're aware those sorts of processes are never quick! But we are trying on our end to be deliberate and provide a program that is both sustainable and maximizes the value we can provide to administrators of our products.
+6@dustydorey I have looked through the training site already, these are useful to have but do not lead you to the certification exams. I feel it would still be beneficial to attend the 200-400 classes to obtain the certifications themselves to show retained knowledge of the system and be amongst my peers for professional development. The training is very enticing but just too expensive for my small non-profit to be able to approve the purchase. Jamf should be able to give a discounted rate for non-profits the same way cloud service is discounted so you can still be in the best possible position to help my end users.
+7I’m going to add to this, as a user who pretty much had to self-fund for a training pass (yay for dead relative money).
It’s hard to break into the job market for JAMF admins not already having either hands-on experience or these certifications under your belt. Often times, prospective employers won’t consider you for a JAMF-related job unless you have these certifications, presenting a bit of a chicken-or-egg type problem in many cases.
For those of us who want to evangelize JAMF and get experienced with the wonderful suite of tools that is JAMF Pro, it does carry a prohibitive cost of entry.
+10Bump. After the 100 course it's just too expensive; it would be beneficial for my school to have me certified, but blowing the entire PD budget for the district on just me going to one course is just not going to fly.
